Meet Our Founder: Steve Almonte, A Lifelong Baseball Devotee

Steve Almonte, our Founder and President, embodies the heart and soul of baseball. His journey in the sport began in the late ’60s in Cape Cod, leading to the creation of a club that mirrors his passion for baseball and his commitment to the community. His philosophy revolves around providing high-quality, affordable instruction in a club atmosphere where players feel they belong and can thrive.

Steve’s approach is about more than just baseball skills; it’s about building character, fostering teamwork, and creating a positive, motivational environment where young players can grow both on and off the field. His dedication has turned Cape Cod Baseball Club into a hub for talent, with many players advancing to college-level and professional baseball.

As Steve Almonte says, “I gotta have the ocean and a hand-picked quohog dressed with lemon, ketchup and tabasco. But I also have to have a fastball in on the hands, a fisted chopper, and a one-handed dish to first…one out.”
